MCAI remembered Madan Mohan on his 100th birth anniversary

In an unforgettable Annual General Body Meeting, the new Executive Committee of the Music Composers Association of India (MCAI) was announced with the unanimous appointment of Mr. Vishal Bhardwaj as President, Mr. Indrajit Sharma 'Tubby' was elected General Secretary and Shri Vipin Mishra was elected Treasurer! 

The committee announced by Shri BN Tiwari, Chairman, FWICE includes Ram Sampath, Salim - Sulaiman, Raju Singh, Rahul Ranade, Justin-Uday, Julius Packiam, Pandit Somesh Mathur, Tapas Relia, Santosh Nair, Rahul B Seth and Sargam Jassu. This makes a balanced team of music composers. 

During this program, well-known Indian music director Madan Mohan was remembered on the occasion of his 100th birth anniversary. His son duo Sanjeev Kohli and Sameer Kohli shared many incidents related to Madan Mohan. Renowned musician of Marathi music, Ashok Patki of 'Mile Sur Mera Tumhaara' fame was honored for his unmatched achievements.   

On this occasion, Mr. Inderjit Sharma 'Tubby' expressed special gratitude to the General Manager of the Raviraj

 Pranami for his strong administrative performance.

Many famous music composers including Anand Milind, Ismail Darbar, Uttam Singh, Dilip Sen, Kuldeep Singh, Sangeeta Pant and about 150 other music composers were also present in this unprecedented eve held in 'THE CLUB' on Friday. 

Chairman of the organization, Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia blessed all the Music Composers present and wished the organization success under the inspiring leadership of virtuoso music composer Vishal Bhardwaj.
