PATRIOTIC SONG FOR THE 75th Independence Day ‘Mataram’
The date 15th of August 2021, is special. Of course, we celebrate India’s Independence Day on this day. But this year, it’s even more special as it marks the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence Day!
To commemorate this occasion, for the first time in the history of Indian Music Industry, three women composers have come together to create a vibrant patriotic song ‘Mataram’.
The song has an ensemble cast of renowned singers like Anuradha Paudwal, Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, Srinivas, renowned personalities like Prasoon Joshi and very popular younger breed of singers like Pratibha Baghel & Maithili Thakur.
‘Mataram’ is composed by Sangeeta Pant, Vijayaa Shanker, and Rajalakshmee Sanjay who head the Women’s panel of Music Composers’ Association of India. The three are among the leading female music composers in India, with many film and non film songs to their credit.
The song has been penned by Sangeeta Pant and produced and arranged by by Sanjay Chandrasekhar.
It’s video direction & cinematography is done by K. C. Loy and Ms Kiran Loy and the video is edited by Rupsha Mukherjee.
