About Me

As a music composer/programmer I have done around 600 music Albums/singles FOR VARIOUS ARTISTs... Almost 700 promos for STAR TV, SONY TV, ZEE TV , Colours, etc . Around 700 jingles/ corporate adv, etc. And lot more. SANTOSH R.NAIR - Music Composer, Arranger, Programmer An endeavour by an individual to come forth with a team that lives, breathes and creates music with passion. Innovative and different yet in tune with the needs of the project in hand helps them to deliver quality music every time they set their foot forth in it. The man behind this is Santosh Nair. An entrant to the main stream music arena in his late teens has seen him garnering experience, versatility and repertoire in different genres and fields of music as vast as films to ad jingles to music albums, background and title scores , to TV promotions . Work History Music Albums:- Got his 1st major break with Anaida’s album – “Nazuk Nazuk” , wherein he composed & created her all-time hit song – “Oova Oova” and India’s 1st animated Video song – “Hoo Halla Hoo”, for BMG Crescendo. Santosh then re-created the song “Hakuna Matata” from Walt Disney’s LION KING, in Hindi, sung by Anaida & Baba Sehgal. This was followed by other albums for BMG Crescendo, like – Ekta (50 yrs of Independence), Sambhalke Sambhalke ( Anaida, Tunisha, Mehnaaz ), O Malu Malu (Arabic – Anaida / Shukri), and many more. Then came the album “Awaara”, for artiste – Vikas Bhalla, whose song, “Hai Dhuan, Hai Dhuan” was a Hit. The title song of his next Album, “Woh Pal” too was a Success. Santosh also composed the Title song for “Chand Grahan” sung by the inimitable Asha Bhosle. The lyrics of the album were by late Shri. Kaifi Azmi, and other songs were by the Music Maestro- Jaidev. He did Anaida’s 2nd album – “Chori Chori” & then came “Anaida - Greatest Hits”, which featured another famous song – “Piya Bina Jeena” beautifully arranged by him. He also did a Remix album with legendary actor Ajit’s son Shehzaad Khan, titled - “The Lion Mix”. He then did a unique Album for BMG Crescendo, titled- “Aisa Bhi Kabhi Hota Hai”, featuring Sairam Iyer – a singer with the amazing ability to sing effortlessly in a dual voice, i.e., Male/Female. This album was greatly appreciated for its uniqueness and Santosh’s marvellous compositions. Another Album by him was, “Chhori Ke Nakhre”, produced by Rajshri Music and released by SAREGAMA – HMV, featuring Sudesh Bhosle and Vinod Rathod. Worked on a fabulous Remix album with Usha Mangeshkar, titled – “Mungda” the title track of which was a thumping success & the Video featured the Kashmira Shah. He has also done two Albums for Lata Mangeshkar’s audio company – “Musicurry”, featuring various artistes. The album of Shibani Kashyap ‘My Free Spirit’ has different composers working and has composed, arranged and designed the music for the track ‘ Khali Bali’. The most precious jewel in his musical career came with the latest music album featuring the most renowned voices of Hindustani Classical Music Ustad Rashid Khan rendering ghazals with his soulful voice and Santosh embellishing the tracks with the his melodious arrangement, programming and sound designing for the album “ISHQ LAMHE” released by Universal Music, which also got nominated for the best Ghazal Album category during the GIMA awards held in 2014 Film : Santosh has composed remarkable songs for an Indo – Canadian Film, “Taj Mahal – A Monument of Love” directed by Robin Khosla for International release. His superb melodies were rendered by accomplished artistes like Jagjit Singh, Roopkumar Rathod, Sunidhi Chauhan & K.K The audio was released on SAREGAMA – HMV. Ads & Jingles Started off his musical career with Ad-jingles for Vicks: P&G (Procter & Gamble), and went on to record around 40 jingles for them. Since then, he’s done various Jingles & Corporate Film music for prestigious clients like: Sahara India – Main jingle (Bharat hai humara,Hum hain Sahara) ; I B P ;Hindustan Petroleum; Indian Oil; ESCORTS; Mahindra; Rajnigandha ; Cera Wall Tiles (Italian jingle with Gary Lawyer); Sprandi Sports Footwear; Boots Pharmaceuticals; Complan ; G E Countrywide ; BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.) ; Salaahkar India.Com ; Dena Bank ; I C I C I Bank ; TATA Consultancy Services ; Ajanta Pharmacy ; Dhanlakshmi Bank,Equal Sucragold sweetner, and a host of others. Commercials for Binani Cement Ad featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Birlawhite, MaxNewYork commercials for USA, Bharati Axa Life Insurance,etc.. Television : Has also done a lot of work for Television, including a splendid Title song for a Celebrity Talk Show in English, titled – “Soulmate” for B4U He has done the Title and different other songs, aired on a weekly basis, for India’s 1st daily Mythological Mega-Serial – “ Darshan do Bhagwan” The title track composed for the Zee Classic channel’s show Classic Legends showcasing the biography of the most iconic personalities of Indian cinema and music, hosted by one of the most intellectual and commercially successful writer of today’s times Javed Akthar , won the Promax award 2013. The new in branding concept in television where we see television stars promoting various brands in a particular channel have seen a rise and in this is same context Santosh has designed the music tracks for the commercials for brands like Strepsils and the Tata Tea Gold which is promoting women to exercise their rights and cast votes with the most popular actors of Star TV channels as the faces for the same. Composed the LOGO music for STAR ONE / ETV MARATHI / P7news, etc. Latest being AZAAD TV (Beginnen media) He has done the Music Track for the promos showcasing the Launch of Reliance DTH service BIG TV in collaboration with Star. The most notable aired work includes music production for promos – “Freakout Freedom” airing movie show timings for Bindass TV, iifa awards (Bangkok ’08), Star - Voice of India (3), Tracks for - Laughter Challenge-4 , Title Track for the relaunched season view of show Remote Control aired on 9X, Other works:- Successfully handled the entire music production of Audio Catalogue content of Folk songs in different regional languages for Spice Telecom. Worked on theme music for Ghanshyam Binani Bravery Awards, Birla Yuvaratna Awards , UberEats , Honor 8x mobiles(Diwali), Idea cellular, TISS theme song, Maybelline, Asian Paints, Amazon Diwali Shopping, etc. Honor 8x mobiles… And a host of other TV promos for ZEE, SONY, COLORS & STAR ...
