Notice for the Managing Committee Members’ Elections for next three Years

Dear Member As per the Executive Committee meeting held on 18th November 2023, Resolved that the elections of Managing Committee members of MCAI for next three years will be conducted in accordance with the following schedule: 1. The following positions are open for nomination:  Four members for Film Category  Four members for TV Category  Four members for Advertisement Category  Four members for Non-Film Category 2. Notice and the Nomination Paper will be circulated to the members on their registered E-Mail on or before 19th December 2023. The Nomination Form contains the Eligibility Criteria as well. 3. Those who want the Hard copy, may please come to the Office and collect it personally. 4. As per Constitution Rule No. 21 (B), Members wishing to contest the election, should submit their Nomination in the prescribed form duly Proposed by one Member and Seconded by another member of the MCAI to the Office of the Association latest by Wednesday; 3rd January, 2024 on or before 7 pm. 5. The date of withdrawal of Nomination will be Friday, 5th January 2024 on or before 7 pm. 6. As per Constitution Rule No. 21 C (b), all Nominees shall be a member in good standing as on the date of filing his/her Nomination. As per Constitution Rule No. 3(e) “A member in good standing” shall mean one who is not in arrears with contributions, subscription, fines or levies to the Association for any quarter preceding the quarter in which the standing of the member is to be assessed. 7. As per Constitution Rule No. 21 C (a), all Nominees shall have to their credit following number of released works so as to be able to stand for elections to the Executive Committee: A. For Film Category B. For Advertisement Category C. For TV Category D. For Non Film Category 25 songs or background music in 25 films 100 commercials (Instead of 500, approved in EC) 20 programs 50 works (As per constitution the Criteria for Advertising Category is 500 works, the EC met on Nov 18th, 2023 has resolved that this Criteria seems to be very difficult for the Candidates, hence decided it to be reduced to 100 works. Declaration of Final Eligible Candidates for all Verticals (ie: Films, Advt., TV and Non Film) : 8th January 2024 (List of Eligible Candidates will be circulated to all members by email and will be published on our website www.mcai.in 9. Online Polling will be held between 13th January 2024, 9AM and 15th January 2024, 7PM 10. Members can cast their vote online. A link will be sent to all members on their registered email and Members can get access to the polling page by putting OTP which will be received on their registered mobile or email. 11. Members can choose 4 (Four) candidates from each verticals. 12. Results will be announced during the AGM on 18th JANUARY 2024 7PM. Results will be circulated to the members on their E-mail and will be published on our Website www.mcai.in.
